There’s a relatively new healthy-eating alternative to those who wish to take a break from the beef in Buenos Aires. Pura Vida offers fresh fruit milkshakes and juices, healthy salads, and sandwiches stuffed with veggies. We stopped in for a quick sandwich in between buses in and out of the city and were rewarded with the nice healthy feeling that a plate full of vegetables can give you. Of course, the food is slightly more expensive than running to the corner parrilla for a choripan and Coke, but that’s a whole different ball game.
Pura Vida is a wonderful little place that I hope sticks around, purveying its wonderful health-centred cuisine.
